This page accompanies the “Asking Visitors to Turn off Ad Blocking” chapter of the Ad Blocking Survival Guide book. It makes use of the Modal dialog component of the Bootstrap JavaScript framework to display a dialog to the user in the presence of an ad blocker. In order to gain instant access to the site, the user must disable ad blocking. Alternatively, the site visitor must wait for a timeout to elapse before the dialog can be dismissed. The dismiss button is initially disabled and displays the timeout countdown. The button is then enabled when the countdown reaches zero.
