In the previous chapter we looked at configuring a mail client. In this chapter we will look at the steps required to send and receive GMail email messages on an Ubuntu system using the Evolution email client and the POP and SMTP protocols. Many of the steps outlined in this tutorial will be work for other email providers though it is worth checking with the provider for specific details such as the addresses for the SMTP, POP or MAPI servers.
